Plumbing
A plumbing system means a drainage system, a venting system, and a water system or parts thereof. A plumbing system means fixtures, pipes, and related parts, including a septic apparatus, assembled to carry clean water into a structure and to carry sewage out of a structure.
Water Supply System
water supply system, infrastructure for the collection, transmission, treatment, storage, and distribution of water for homes, commercial establishments, industry, and irrigation, as well as for such public needs as firefighting and street flushing.
Drain-Waste-Vent System
In modern plumbing, a drain-waste-vent (or DWV) is a system that allows air to enter the plumbing system to maintain proper air pressure to enable the removal of sewage and greywater from a dwelling. Drain refers to water produced at fixtures such as sinks, and showers; waste refers to water from toilets. As the water runs down, proper venting is required to allow water to flow freely, and avoid a vacuum from being created. As the water runs down air must be allowed into the waste pipe either through a roof vent (external), or an internal vent.
Kitchen Plumbing System
Dishwasher supply: Water pipes connected to the dishwasher.
Water supply : Placed below the sink for hot and cold water. Also attached to other fixtures that need water like the dishwasher or any additional sinks in the islands etc.
Drain: The system that takes the waste water out.
Flexible supply tube: These tubes connect the valves to the kitchen faucet.
Shutoff valve: This is used to control the flow of the water and manage the water pressure and completely shut off the water if needed.
Gas valves: They control the natural gas and are placed on the walls or below the floors
Bathroom Plumbing System
Sinks, showers, bathtubs, and toilets—bathrooms are all about plumbing. The plumbing in a bathroom must handle water delivery to and waste removal from all of these fixtures in an organised, efficient, leak-free manner.
